Chicago Area LEED Certified Attorneys
At Carlson Partners, Ltd., we are going green! We are committed to working with the green community and promoting energy efficient buildings.
What Is LEED Certification?
According to the U.S. Green Building Council, "LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using [green] strategies." To be LEED certified, a building must show a strong commitment to and meet certain energy efficiency requirements, including conserving water, and recycling and reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
Individuals can become LEED certified as well, gaining the title of LEED green associates or LEED APs. These professionals have the experience and knowledge to help others through the green certification process and help them understand the credentials guiding the rating systems.
Our skilled attorneys are going through the process to become LEED certified, a certification that shows professional commitment to and involvement in conserving resources. As a result of their pending LEED certification, our lawyers will be able to assist architectural firms, business developers, contractors and others with green certification matters and other issues, such as:
- Contract review for LEED certified buildings
- Construction and material dispute resolution
- Site plan reviews
- Development of LEED projects
